«3-D Secure» (Code) is a security procedure for verifying the identity of the cardholder for credit card payments in online shops. This is also used at Eventfrog because it is part of the security standard of our payment providers Datatrans and Adyen.
This procedure with two-factor authentication reduces the risk of credit card data being hacked.
How the two-factor authentication is solved in detail, however, also depends on the credit card provider.
