Join us for the Sustainability Mindset with Design Thinking (SMDT) Community Day!

Enjoy a one of a kind, inside look at the Zürcher Tierschutz (Animal Shelter) on a private tour for SMDT friends (old and new).

The first step of Design Thinking is "Empathy", and this is the focus of our Community Day. The Zürcher Tierschutz has organised a special event to help our community develop a broader perspective on their work. On a tour tailored just for SMDT, we will see and interact with a variety of animals and explore questions such as:

• Why does the shelter exist?
• What are the challenges the shelter faces?
• What are the needs of the different animals (cats, dogs, birds, snakes, spiders rabbits and more!), and how does the shelter manage this?
• Where would these animals be if the shelter did not exist?

Sustainability Mindset with Design Thinking is a not-for-profit collaboration between Make The Change Education and STEAMED Playground. Our mission is to foster a love for nature and nurture the skills and values our children need to thrive in today's world.

We do this through Camps in Zurich School Holidays, After-school programs and community days like this one! 

Zürcher Tierschutz is an invaluable community partner of SMDT, opening their doors to us. As a thank you, SMDT is organising a donation drive to the support the animal shelter.
