Is there a bad trip? What psychedelic experiences can teach. is organised by:

Category: Art & Exhibitions / Exhibition
Is the fear of a “bad trip" justified, or are challenging experiences an important part of the psychedelic journey? Sario shares his personal experiences, while philosopher Jason K. Day offers scientific insights. This event will be held in English.
For most people, the “bad trip” is the great spectre when it comes to experiences with psychedelics. In his research, philosopher Jason K. Day explores the phenomenology of psychedelic experiences to map out their many strange, and sometimes overwhelming, possibilities. Sario has had diverse personal experiences with psychedelics and shares about how he navigates challenging experiences during high-dose trips, what he learns from them, how he processes them – and why he sees great value even in extremely challenging psychedelic crises. The discussion is moderated by Morten Lietz, Ph.D. in Medical Science at the University of Fribourg, where he investigates the effects of LSD on neuroplasticity across the lifespan. The event will be held in English.
Jason K. Day specialises in philosophy of psychedelics, phenomenology, and aesthetics at the University of Fribourg. Sario has been using psychedelics since 2017 and says that they offer him a deep insight in the worlds of his psyche. He prefers to keep his last name private.
