The science behind water-resistant fabrics: Luba Nurse, head of collection at Textilmuseum St.Gallen, will guide you through the current temporary exhibition, shedding light on the theme of the show by asking ‘What makes clothing waterproof?’

The water-resistant jacket is a marvel of modern technology. But what is the science behind waterproof materials that are being used for jackets, trousers, or even tents? Together we will delve into how this incredible technology works and explore it through the objects in the exhibition.

The guided tour lasts half an hour and is held in English. Participation in the event is free of charge, only the museum entrance fee is payable.
The meeting point is at 12 noon in the foyer of the Textile Museum.
