In a breakthrough year of multiple international tours, millions of music streams and an appearance in the 2024 remake of cult classic The Crow, Canadian cold-wave duo TRAITRS have shown all year why they are one of the hardest working bands in the modern gothic scene. With their nightmarish mosaic of icy guitars, melancholic synthesizers, motorik drum machine rhythms and anthemic melodies interwoven with horror-tinged lyricism, TRAITRS capture the spirit of older bands like The Cure, Bauhaus and Cocteau Twins while remaining firmly rooted in the present.

TWIN NOIR:

TWIN NOIR is a Post-Punk/Wave/EBM artist duo founded in Berlin in 2021, consisting of Cody Barcelona (voice, electronics, guitar) and Ian Volt (voice, bass). Their music oscillates between electronically monotonic sounds, expansive atmospheres, and melodic moments, combined with minimalist lyrics in German.

The sound of TWIN NOIR is shaped by an analog tape machine, a sampler, guitars and a theremin, through which the duo creates their own blend of Punk and Wave music. Technoid beats, driving basslines, and atmospheres played alternately by synthesizers and guitars create moments that invite dancing, floating and drifting. The influences of both artists range from bands like KRAFTWERK and DAF to the EBM and Techno scenes, as well as Punk and Rock from the 70s to 90s.

XHER:

XHER is the first solo project by the Polish-Ecuadorian artist and musician Veru Loremipsum. Combining Post-Punk, Pop-Punk, and electronic Hyper Pop elements, XHER delivers a distinct “Hyper-Rock” sound. With a background in the VisualArts, Veru’s music is shaped by audio-visual influences and explores themes of identity, heartbreak, resilience, and punk culture.
